This policy explains how Everyday Dog Learning handles information when you visit https://everydaydoglearning.com, leave a comment, contact us, or follow an affiliate link. For privacy questions, email contact@everydaydoglearning.com.
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond and manage your enquiry. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information.
When you leave a comment, WordPress collects the information entered in the comment form, including your name, email address, optional website address, and comment. It also records your IP address and browser information to support moderation and spam prevention. Your approved comment and display name may be public; your email address is not displayed with your comment.
The site does not currently offer public account registration or visitor file uploads.
Technical information and service providers
Our website uses WordPress and Hostinger hosting services. Hosting and technical services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, referring addresses, timestamps, and error or security logs to deliver, maintain, and protect the site. Authorized administrators and service providers may access information needed to operate the website, email, and backups.
Hostinger Reach resources are also loaded by the website. Loading resources from an external provider can send technical connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, to that provider. See Hostinger’s privacy policy for its practices.
Cookies and your choices
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. If you leave a comment and select the option to remember your details, WordPress stores your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience for up to one year. These details are then available to prefill later comment forms.
WordPress also uses cookies on its login and administration pages. Its login-page test cookie lasts for the browser session. Login cookies normally last two days, or two weeks when “Remember Me” is selected; display preference cookies can last one year. A cookie used when editing or publishing an article expires after one day. These administration cookies concern authorized users rather than a requirement to read our articles.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other features from working. To manage cookies or advertising choices on another website, use that website’s settings and privacy information. A link in this policy does not itself change your cookie preferences.
Affiliate links and third-party websites
We use affiliate links, including Amazon Associates links and ClickBank links. If you follow one of these links and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Affiliate links contain identifiers that allow a merchant or network to attribute a referral to this website. When you follow a link, the destination, redirect service, or affiliate network may receive technical information about your visit and may use cookies or similar technologies to track referrals, purchases, and other activity under its own privacy policy.
Third parties, including Amazon and other advertisers, may serve content, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognize cookies on their browsers when their services are used. Their practices and available advertising choices are described in their own policies. Review Amazon’s Privacy Notice and ClickBank’s Privacy Policy before using their services.
Purchases are completed on the seller’s or payment provider’s website. We do not collect your payment card details through these affiliate links. Those providers handle information you submit to them under their own terms and privacy policies.
Google search reporting and analytics
We use Google Search Console to review how this website appears in Google Search, including search performance and indexing reports. The ownership-verification meta tag is a website identifier, not a visitor analytics tracking script. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google’s processing of data.
Google Analytics has not been connected through Site Kit. Clicky Analytics is enabled to measure visits and activity on this website and provide traffic reports. Clicky documents that its tracking may log page URLs and titles, clicked-link URLs and titles, referrers, user-agent and device information such as screen resolution and language, mouse-event coordinates, and an IP address. The Clicky account for this website currently applies Clicky’s “All visitors” privacy setting. Under Clicky’s default visitor-privacy mode, Clicky says IP addresses are anonymized and no end-user tracking cookies are used; Clicky also describes exceptions and optional tracking-cookie behavior in its privacy documentation, including cases involving VPNs or changed privacy settings. Clicky processes this information on its tracking servers to provide reports to this website. Clicky’s published storage information says retention depends on the account plan and the type of report, so this policy does not promise a fixed retention period. Visitors can use Clicky’s service-wide opt-out system; this website does not provide a separate Clicky opt-out control. See Clicky’s privacy documentation, Clicky’s privacy policy, and Clicky’s storage information.
Avatars and embedded content
Where Gravatar avatars are displayed, an anonymized identifier derived from an email address may be sent to Gravatar to retrieve a profile image. Your browser may also connect to Gravatar to load that image. See Automattic’s privacy policy.
If an article includes embedded third-party content, such as a video, that provider may receive technical information and use cookies or tracking technologies when the content loads or you interact with it. Its privacy policy applies to that processing, including any association with an account you hold with the provider.
Sharing and international processing
Information may be processed by hosting, email, backup, security, and other technical providers as needed to operate the site and respond to enquiries. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect the website and address abuse. Providers may process information in countries different from your own; their locations and safeguards depend on the service involved.
How long information is kept
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely unless removed, so follow-up comments can be recognized and moderated. Enquiries are kept as needed to respond, handle follow-up matters, and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. A manual WordPress backup is retained through UpdraftPlus. Automatic backup scheduling is not currently enabled, so no automatic expiry period is promised for that manual copy. Deleted information can remain in backups until those copies are removed or replaced. Hosting logs and hosting-provider backups follow the provider’s configuration and retention rules.
Privacy requests
To ask about, correct, obtain a copy of, or request deletion of personal information associated with your comments or enquiries, email contact@everydaydoglearning.com. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have additional rights, including objecting to or restricting processing, withdrawing consent, or contacting a relevant privacy regulator.
We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may need to be retained for legal, administrative, or security reasons. Requests concerning information held directly by an affiliate merchant or another independent provider should be sent to that provider.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when our website or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest update. Contact us using the email above if you have questions.
